The Treasury Department announced the launch of a pilot Fast Track Program aimed at streamlining foreign investment review for investors from allied and partner nations. The initiative includes the development of a “Known Investor” portal to allow the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) to collect preliminary information from eligible investors before formal filings.
The move follows President Trump’s America First Investment Policy directive, which calls for increased efficiency in the CFIUS process while safeguarding national security from adversarial threats.
“Treasury is committed to maintaining and enhancing the open investment environment that benefits our economy,” said Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, “while ensuring our ability to identify and address national security risks.”
The Fast Track Program will initially operate as a pilot and expand based on results. Details are available at www.cfius.gov.
