EXIM Finalizes $363 million Guarantee for Bridges in Angola

The Export Import Bank of the US (EXIM) board has finalized approval of the funding  for the export of 186 modular steel panel bridges and ancillary bridging equipment, as well as technical training and advisory services, distributed throughout eighteen provinces in Angola

The Announcement of final commitment loan guarantee for more than $363 million will support the export  export of prefabricated modular steel bridges and related equipment for the construction of bridge infrastructure throughout the country.   

Acrow Corporation of America will manufacture the bridge components in its Milton, PA plant.    According to CEO Bill Killeen exports now make up at least 75% of the company’s approximately $80 million annual revenue. 

The borrower is Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Angola.

In June, Exim approved a direct loan for more than $900 million to the Ministry of Energy and Water of the Republic of Angola to support the construction of two photovoltaic solar energy power plants.
