Fourth IPEF Round Slated for July

The fourth round of negotiations for the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework will take place beginnings July 9 in Busan, South Korea.

The latest round will come on the heels of a ministerial level meeting last month at which the substantial conclusion of negotiations on the Pillar II supply chain agreement.

That leaves work remaining on Pillar I (Trade), Pillar III (Clean Economy) and Pillar IV (Fair Economy).

The US interagency delegation will be co-led by Sarah Ellerman, IPEF Pillar I Acting Chief Negotiator and Assistant US Trade Representative for Southeast Asia and the Pacific and Sharon Yuan, Commerce Department Counselor and Chief Negotiator for Pillars II-IV.

In advance of the next negotiating round, USTR is holding a virtual listening session for interested stakeholders on June 28 at 9 am.
