The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has imposed sanctions on one individual and six entities involved in a sanctions evasion network. This network facilitated Iran's procurement of electronic components for its military programs, including those used in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The head of Iran's Pardazan System Namad Arman (PASNA) and its front companies based in Iran, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and the People's Republic of China (PRC) are specifically targeted.

Since September 2022, OFAC has issued several rounds of designations to counter Iran's UAV and missile programs.

AMV AJ is an Iran-based front company used to procure electronic goods, while PASNA International is a Malaysia-based front company that procures goods including encoder boards, copiers, transmitters, and optical components.

OFAC is updating PASNA's SDN List entry to include its alias, Faraz Tejarat Ertebat Company, and exposing the use of two fictional companies, Sino Trader Co. and Pouyan Electronic Co., in their sanctions evasion efforts.

OFAC further sanctioned PASNA's suppliers, Three Hong Kong firm’s have been designated pursuant to E.O. 13382 for providing or attempting to provide financial, material, technological, or other support for PASNA.
